I rented the 18 passenger shuttle to take a group of 11 women from St. Louis to several wineries in Defiance as part of a weekend getaway bachelorette party. Despite horrible weather, our driver, John was on time, drove well, and was such a gentlemen. Besides one broken window latch, the shuttle was in good shape and clean and was a great value when compared to similar services in the area. Also met one of the owners who was very nice and easy to get in touch with. Despite the weather, it was a great way to spend the afternoon!
Great customer service, awesome location. It has a small business feel, but has plenty of bikes. I've been here a few times, and enjoyed it each time. They have tandem bikes, and offer bike repair if you bring your own bike. They also have ted drewes, and other ice cream. There are some good wineries in the area too.
I stopped by to ask about renting a recumbent bike because they look interesting. The clerk was very knowledgeable and helpful. The price seems more than fair. We'll be back in a couple of weeks to try one out.
The first time we went in the older guy tried to get us to use a bike we did not want. We ended up having to go back into the shop and convincing the man to let us have what fitted our needs. Another time I called them to use the shuttle service that they say they provide anywhere on the Katy, but they don’t tell you that you have to be using one of their bikes. If your not using on of their bike then you are just sol. The older guy was slightly laughing when I asked him if he would pick me up due to the fact that I was over ten miles from where I needed to go, had a flat tire and it was raining. He said that they only had two people and that they were very busy. I would have to say that he was lying to me due to the fact that it was raining and a storm was moving in. Thanks a lot for no help. I do not recommend this location. I would try the Augusta location. The older man does not listen to what you need.
This place is by far the friendliest, fastest and least expensive bike repair place in the area. For $12 and 3 minutes you're out the door and riding again. Well worth the 30 minute drive to get out there.
