Historic home that Daniel Boone lived in, built by his son (and slave labor). Well preserved home and good tour. The entire site has been turned into a model village (where one never was) to show the types of homes and buildings of the period. Interesting area.
The Pavilion was beautiful for the wedding I went to. The historic houses in the park were awesome to take pictures in front of as well. It's a nice quiet place and makes for a great scenic drive.
Awesome place if you like history. They have created a mini village of period buildings, so you get a real feel of what life was like in those times. The guided tour is really interesting. Would recommend to any history buff!!
Really enjoyed the night-time stroll through the village. The open "cabins" we're staffed with interesting story tellers. The hot chocolate and cider we're a nice touch.
Tucked away in the rolling hills of Defiance, just on the edge of the Ozark Mountains is the valley Daniel Boone called home.
