There were 6 adults on this weekend get away. We have come to expect certain things when staying at B&B establishments, and this place just didn't meet those expectations. We came away wishing we would have given our money to one of the true B&B's in the area, and we will do that in the future.
This place has great potential, but we believe the owners have become too busy to properly deal with running a B&B and it was not worth what we paid. We made the best of it, but came away from our annual winery weekend completely disappointed.
Initial impression was disappointment for our group of 3 couples, and at the end of our 2 night stay we that did not improve. We arrived to 2-3 ft weeds everywhere and had to step around dog poop right outside our car door and on the pool deck. The pool needed cleaned to say the least. The leaves and frogs covering the bottom of the pool is unsightly, but the pool walls covered in algae was disheartening. Bottom line for the pool area is this, if you are going to use pictures of a beautiful pool/deck/patio area to get people to come to pay you to stay at your house, pull some weeds, clean up, and make it presentable. Also, maybe fix the pool lights and fountain,and have the hot tub clean and ready for guests to use. Honestly, the hot tub may or may not have been clean, but after we saw the condition of the pool we were very hesitant and decided against it. We turned the fire pit on at night to have some light for night swims since it was so dark with no pool lighting. The sound system at the pool was nice once we figured out how to use it. The outdoor kitchen looks amazing in the pictures but don't expect to really use it. Bring charcoal if you are wanting to grill something, because we were told insurance wouldn't allow us to use the gas grill. (since we came with a cooler of meat to grill for dinner, we were relieved to find nearly empty bag of charcoal...we had a make it work moment)
The basement of the house, which is what is rented, is clean and pretty. The beds need to be improved upon. For a child, these beds would probably work, but not realistic for an average sized adult couple. We missed bed sizes in the description, or we would have probably made a different choice. Every thing was clean though, which is expected, but worth mentioning. There is also no maid service, and the

Booked 2 nights and left after 1. Hot tub doesn't work, the pool was dirty and had a vacuum right through the middle of it which wasn't working, obviously. So no swimming. The picture shows a volleyball net, nope no net. We were really excited to use the outdoor kitchen but unfortunately that is only for looks and you are not allowed to use and you have to use the old dirty charcoal grill so bring your own charcoal. The basement is nice and clean but there was a spider in the shower(yuck!). Don't come here if you don't like dogs because she has 7 running around upstairs which can be loud at times but didn't bother us too much. (1 dog came in the pool area to visit)The only breakfast you get is a tray of muffins when you arrive and she gives you a pitcher of ice water but don't expect that to be freshened up later. This is not a bed and breakfast. You are just renting a room in the basement. Which wouldn't have even bed bad had any of the amenities shown actually worked. Our room was ok the bed was small and the closet door was broke but we left everything in our suitcase and left after one night anyway. The owner was friendly but the place needs more attention. It has great potential and was probably a great place years ago when everything worked. Theme for this place "broke or not useable"
breakfast was a small tray of assorted pastries/muffins and a bowl of fruit in the refrigerator. Breakfast was brought down Friday evening, and we had to text her Sunday morning to see if breakfast coming. It was the exact same small platter of assorted pastries/muffins, but no more fruit on day two.
