I used to love bringing my dog here for walks when there was a good few miles of trail meandering from woodland to grassland and back, unimpeded by paved roads or parking lots, and you could spend a few hours here and not see anyone else--basically, how isolated it all felt. That said, the kids love the new main playground, and there's still plenty of trail left to hike. And the area surrounding the lakes is definitely more usable than it was 5 years ago. Hands-down my favorite park in St. Charles County.
Newer county park. Very nice rural setting. Wish I could have lived here when it was a working farm.
Great hiking/multi-use trails year round. Amazing dog park with a pond and dock.
Great trail for hiking, but you will pick up a lot of ticks so be careful. Dogs are welcome but he aware that there are horses on the trail. When coming across horses, step off the path and wait for them to pass. They may spooky easily and your dog may be injured when they do.
Beautiful large park with great trails. The visitors center overlooks a beautiful lake. They do allow horses on trail so watch for poop.
